Over the years we have installed many thousands of strain gauges onto a myriad of components. The most common requirement for our Strain Gauge Bonding services is assembly of high accuracy force transducers and load cells, designed to known output signal levels and for maximum performance. Other common applications include strain gauge bonding to existing machine or system components for stress analysis or overload protection.

Where pre-calibrated strain gauge, load cell or force transducer systems are required, we are usually able to supply either 'off the shelf' products, or a custom built solution. If structural modifications to accept such products are not feasible, it is often possible to modify existing load bearing components into 'known output' transducers to be calibrated with a load indicating instrument or signal conditioning device for output to PC, datalogging, or control system.

If necessary, we will advise on gauge selection, circuit refinement, environmental protection, suitable instrumentation and calibration.

Our exacting standards and the integrity of our strain gauge installations on our customers' products, as well as our own, ensure total reliability and repeatability of measurement data.

We are able to undertake repairs to any type of load cell or force transducer system. Depending on the work required and availability of components, we are usually able to offer a quick turnaround to minimize system down-time. Where original equipment replacements are no longer available, repairing broken load cells can be cost effective by preventing modifications to accept different products.

In most cases the items can be repaired to original specification. Should they be damaged beyond repair, a fit-for-fit replacement can be supplied.

Once the fault has been established, a full fault report and cost to repair will be supplied, free of charge. We endeavour to complete this within two working days of receipt of the faulty item.

Whether supplied by us, or by a third party, we will calibrate any load cell / force transducer / instrument combination to maintain validity of measurements and continuity of Quality Standards.

Our calibration reference equipment is meticulously maintained with traceability to United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

We can arrange full UKAS calibrations if required and offer a pre-calibration service to assess the condition of the transducer before undertaking expensive calibrations at a UKAS accredited laboratory.
